Join us on the Farmstead for Homeschool Day!
- Learn from demonstrators how useful products were made in the past or in the present.
- Watch an experienced Blacksmith in action and learn why this occupation was an important job.
- Explore fiber arts with Dallas Handweavers & Spinners Guild
- See how food was cooked on an open fire
- Ask a Master Gardener about the plants growing in the Kitchen Garden
- Talk to a Master Naturalist about the Native Prairie Garden
- Enjoy a wagon ride around the 4-acre farm
- Meet all the farm animals (goats, sheep, pigs, donkey, ducks, and guinea fowl)
- Wash laundry the old-fashioned way
- Feed the chickens
- Learn how to milk a cow with Buttermilk, the magnificent mechanical cow
- Challenge yourself with a scavenger hunt
- Use a high wheel plow
Wilson House will not be open for this event.
Activities open from 10am-12pm. Farm open until 1pm. Bring a lunch and enjoy a picnic on the farm!

- Child (2-16 years) $12
- Children under 2 years old – reserve a ticket at no cost
- Adult (17 years and up) $5
